From the German vineyards of Pfalz the Villa Wolf Estate was founded in 1756 and has been a successful and highly regarded winery for more than two centuries. It entered an especially glamorous era with the construction of its magnificent estate house and villa in 1843.
Following a down-turn of fortune in the mid 20th century, the celebrated and enigmatic Ernst Loosen took over the Villa Wolf vineyards in 1996, launching a dramatic turnaround in the estate`s quality and reputation.
Although many grape varieties do well in the Pfalz, Riesling is still the most important and the most widely planted. Villa Wolf produces exceptional wines, with this Riesling Dry showing brilliant characters.
One of the most popular grape varieties in Germany, this Riesling has fine fruit flavours of peach, apricot and other stone fruits with typical aromatics of the variety. Great to drink by itself or try with some hearty traditional meals from the Pfalz area such as Sauerkraut and German sausage dishes
